Simon Davies is an oil painter based between London and Dorset.
After leaving school he initially studied Fine Art on a foundation course at Chelsea College of Art and Design before deciding on an academic path, first with an undergraduate degree in Mental Philosophy at Edinburgh University, followed by an MA in History of Art at the Courtauld Institute of Art and a DPhil in Archaeology at Oxford University, specialising in Byzantine Art and Archaeology.
He has since returned to painting, focusing mainly on portraiture, the human figure and still life.
