Simon Davies is an oil painter based in West Dorset.
After leaving school he studied Fine Art on a foundation course at Chelsea College of Art and Design in London, before pursuing an academic path, gaining an undergraduate degree in Mental Philosophy from Edinburgh University, followed by an MA in History of Art from the Courtauld Institute of Art in London, and a DPhil in Archaeology from Oxford University, specialising in Byzantine Art and Archaeology.
He has since returned to painting, focusing mainly on portraiture and still life.
He is currently exhibiting in Dorset Art Weeks, 25 May – 9 June 2024, in his studio in Powerstock, Dorset.
